Math X Tales

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the Math X Tales app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Vaibhav Arora (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service.

By downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to the following Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Application.

By accessing and using Math X Tales, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Math X Tales provides educational content through mathematical crossword puzzles and stories. The Service includes:

• Free access to math-themed crossword puzzles
• Story content unlocked through gameplay
• PDF export functionality for stories
• Image sharing capabilities for crossword puzzles
• Future in-app purchases to remove advertisements and access premium features

The current version of the Application is supported by advertisements through Google AdMob. Future updates may include optional in-app purchases to enhance your experience.

When in-app purchases become available:

• All purchases will be one-time transactions (no auto-renewing subscriptions)
• Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• All payments will be processed by Apple
• Refunds will be subject to Apple's refund policy

Math X Tales does not require account creation. All game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• All activities that occur on your device
• Backing up your device data if desired

The Service Provider is not responsible for any loss of locally stored progress data due to device issues, app deletion, or other circumstances.

All content provided through Math X Tales, including but not limited to:

• Mathematical crossword puzzles (original creations)
• Story adaptations (enhanced from public domain sources)
• Images and graphics (AI-generated and curated)
• User interface and experience design
• The Math X Tales name, logo, and branding

...are the property of the Service Provider and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Remove or obscure the Math X Tales logo from exported content
• Sell or commercially distribute content from the Application
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code
• Use automated systems to extract content in bulk
• Claim ownership of Math X Tales content
• Use exported content to train AI models without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

The Application uses the following third-party services:

Apple In-App Purchase (Future):

• Will process all in-app purchase payments when available
• Subject to Apple's Terms of Service
• Manages purchase verification and restoration

In compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, Math X Tales will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. This tracking is used solely for advertising purposes through Google AdMob.

• If you grant permission: AdMob may show personalized ads
• If you deny permission: You will still see ads, but they won't be personalized
• You can change your tracking preference anytime in iOS Settings
• The app functions fully regardless of your tracking choice

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Application is designed to be safe for all ages, with educational content appropriate for general audiences.

Regarding Advertising to Children:

• Google AdMob is configured to show only age-appropriate advertisements
• Behavioral advertising is limited for users under 13
• Parents can disable personalized ads in device settings
• Future updates will include parental controls for purchases

Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's app usage and configure appropriate privacy settings on their devices.

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Service Provider does not warrant that:

• The Application will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Application is free of viruses or harmful components
• The results obtained from use will be accurate or reliable

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Application.

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page with an updated effective date. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes.

PLEASE READ THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING MATH X TALES.

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and the Service Provider for the Math X Tales mobile application.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the Application on iOS devices you own or control
• Access and use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Export and share content with retained attribution

You may NOT:

• Copy or modify the Application
• Create derivative works based on the Application
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the Application for commercial purposes
• Transfer this license to another party

The Application is licensed, not sold. The Service Provider retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Application, including all intellectual property rights.

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term of this EULA. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Application and destroy all copies.

Your privacy is important to us. Here's a quick summary of our privacy practices:

• We don't collect personal data: No names, emails, or accounts required
• Local storage only: Your progress stays on your device
• Third-party advertising: Google AdMob collects data for advertising purposes (see Section 7 for details)
• Tracking transparency: We request permission before any cross-app tracking
• No data sharing: We don't sell or share your personal information
• Children's privacy: Age-appropriate ads and no behavioral targeting for users under 13
• Optional feedback: Google Forms for feedback is completely voluntary

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
